Rabbi and Reverend Make Music

may ed rabbi rev concertOn Sunday 18 March, Rabbi Altshuler and the Synagogue Community Choir took part in a concert to raise funds for the charity ‘Freedom from Torture’.

In an interfaith musical extravaganza, the Rabbi performed two movements from Mozart’s Violin Sonata K304 with Rev. Paul Nicholson of St Saviour’s Church, Hampstead providing the piano accompaniment. The choir, under the direction of Ben Wolf, performed several numbers from our wedding and Shabbat services, again with the Reverend at the piano.

Other music on a fascinating evening was provided by The Belsize Community Choir, a Jewish training choir called Tav Rishon and Wayne Engh, a professional marimba soloist from Canada.
