Alyson Denza

AlysonAlyson began singing at an early age, touring France as soloist in Vivaldi’s Gloria with her primary school choir. Having trained
at the Birmingham Conservatoire and gained a degree from the University of Birmingham, Alyson has sung all over the world
with a wide variety of choirs and performers. Her love of music has always been ecumenical, classical training interlinked with popular music of all kinds; roles and chorus in many musicals including Cabaret and Chicago; writing and performing her own songs in cafés around London; resident soloist at Minsky’s Jazz piano bar in Sydney, Australia.

A move back to London rekindled Alyson’s love of classical
repertoire. Dedicated now to her musical vocation, she has sung
in many churches and professional choirs. As her voice has
developed, she has moved into the world of opera, and been
highly commended for her performances. She has been privileged
to work with many distinguished opera soloists, directors and conductors through Associated Studios and Co-Opera Co, and with director John Ramster and coach Mary Hill, tutors for the Royal Academy Opera Department.

Alongside her work as a soloist, Alyson conducts several children’s and adult choirs in North West London. She also enjoys dancing and, though not professionally trained, is proficient in Ballroom, Jazz, Modern Jive and Argentinian Tango.
